Project Description:
DEC has drafted a modified permit for the above-referenced facility. The modification includes an existing discharge resulting from the operation of a bakery that makes biscotti. Wastewater is generated from equipment and floor cleaning. Management practices include the use of trays to capture crumbs, and other means of separation of contaminants from the wastewater flow. Treatment consists of an oil / water separator, and the discharge is estimated to be approx. 300 gallons per day. There is also a 1,500 GPD septic tank and leachfield system on site, and that outfall has been consolidated and listed in this draft permit. NY 027 5140

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:

DEC has drafted a modified SPDES permit for the above-referenced facility. Modification entails consolidation of two onsite outfalls into one subsurface treatment system due to the failing condition of one system. There will now be a total of three outfalls on site, one discharging at 450 GPD, a second discharging at 1,064 GPD and a third discharging at 10,885 GPD.
