Negative Declaration

Chenango County - The Town of New Berlin, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Chenango Lake Sewer District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of approximately 17,300 linear feet of new low-pressure collection main and approximately 120 individual grinder pump stations to serve residents of the proposed Chenango Lake Sewer District. The proposed project also includes the installation of approximately 25,000 linear feet of force main to convey flows from the proposed sewer district to an existing gravity sewer manhole in the City of Norwich. Wastewater flows would then be conveyed by existing facilities and treated at the existing City of Norwich Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is located in the Towns of New Berlin, Norwich and North Norwich, and the City of Norwich, New York.
