Negative Declaration

Ulster County - The Town of New Paltz, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Laws Concerning Oil and Gas Drilling will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the Town Council to adopt three local laws: (1) prohibiting natural gas and oil extraction in the town; (2) prohibiting the use of brine on town roads from oil and natural gas exploration and extraction; and (3) prohibiting the disposal of natural gas or oil production wastes into the Town sewer system. The project is located throughout the Town of New Paltz, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Westchester County - The Town of Mamaroneck Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of Amendments to the Town Zoning Code (Chapter 240) and Zoning Map. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on January 9, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Mamaroneck Town Center, Mamaroneck, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until January 31, 2012. The Draft EIS is available from the contact person listed below. The action involves the adoption of amendments to the Town of Mamaroneck Zoning Code (Chapter 240 and Zoning Map with respect to the Town's Business (B) and Service Business (SB). Included in these Zoning Code amendments are changes to the B and SB zoning districts to allow for multi-family residential and mixed use (commercial/residential) development, The proposed zoning amendments also require a 10% affordable housing mandate for all new residential projects developed under the amended B and SB districts. The project is located throughout the Town of Mamaroneck, New York.
