Project Description:
The applicant is proposing to install five rock vane structures and various vegetative plantings along 750' of stream bank to provide stability. Work will involve grading the existing bank in place to create a small bench along the toe of the bank at bank full elevation. The upper bank will be graded on a 3:1 slope into the adjacent field and the grading will redistribute approximately 650 cubic yards of material along the stream bank.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to renew and modify a permit for the mining of bluestone. The modification will increase the Life-of-Mine from 12.75 acres to 16.11 acres (adding 2.72 acres with a new haul road to outlet on Murphy Hill Road and adding an additional 1.3 acres in the northwest and north portion of the mine). No other modifications to the mining permit are requested at this time. The project is located on a multi-use road off William Beers Road, 709 feet from the intersection with State Route 10, and 2,400 feet southerly of Murphy Hill Road.

SEQR Lead Agency: NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A cultural resources survey has been completed. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
