Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Central Pine Barrens Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Westhampton Property Association Core Preservation Area Waiver and Compatible Growth Area Critical Resource Area will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a depth expansion of an existing 91 acre sand and gravel mine, which is currently at an elevation of approximately 45 feet above sea level, to a depth elevation of approximately 26 feet above sea level, which will be a minimum of four feet and a maximum of six feet above groundwater elevation. The project is located on the south side of State Route 27, north side of Old Country Road (County Route 71) and 500 feet east of 5th Avenue in Remsenburg and Speonk, Town of Southampton, New York.

Suffolk County - Suffolk County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Elizabeth Dow, Ltd. will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the issuance of tax abatement measures for the acquisition, renovation and equipping for the adaptive reuse of an existing historic structure. The project is located at 48 Madison Street in Sag Harbor, New York.

Positive Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town Board Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Tuckahoe Center may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a proposal to rezone (i) three adjoining properties along the southeasterly side of Country Road 39 in the Hamlet of Tuckahoe, from Highway Business (HB), to Shopping Center Business (SCB), and (ii) a portion of a fourth parcel which adjoins the northeasterly side of Magee Street in the Hamlet of Tuckahoe, from Residential (R-20) to Shopping Center Business (SCB).

The proposed redevelopment would encompass a total of 7.2569 acres (or 316,109 square feet) and would include a 40,000 square-foot market, supporting retail and commercial uses (contained in an 8,400 square-foot building and a separate 6,600 square-foot building) a 3,500 square-foot bank, and off-street parking and other accessory uses.

The project is located on County Route 39 in the Hamlet of Tuckahoe, Town of Southampton, New York.
