Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Ulster County - The Town of New Paltz Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Park Point New Paltz Housing Project. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on October 29, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of New Paltz Town Hall, 1 Veterans Drive, New Paltz, New York. 12561. The written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until November 19, 2012. The Draft EIS is available from the Town of New Paltz Town Hall, Elting Memorial Library, the Sojourner Truth SUNY New Paltz Library and on line at: https://bmepc.smartfile.com/ftp/fetch/47f3672e-d431-45d3-9036-ca49558d2bc2/.

The action involves a 50 acre tract of land in the Residential-Variable (R-V) and Residential (R-1) Zoning Districts of the Town of New Paltz. Park Point New Paltz, LLC / Wilmorite, Inc. proposes a development which will consist of: 180 residential units that will provide 696 bedrooms intended for students, and 30 two bedroom residential units intended for faculty housing, which will be provided in 13 buildings; a clubhouse; maintenance areas within buildings; parking areas; storm water management facilities; recreation areas; private roads; and water and sewer utilities to be located on a 42 acre site within the tract of land, with a primary and secondary access drives onto Route 32, and a driveway connecting directly to the State University of New York (SUNY) New Paltz campus. A sewage treatment plant will be located on an 8 acre site that will be included within the tract by a proposed lot line revision between the Goshawk and JAM of New Paltz properties. The applicant proposes to install a well field and water treatment and storage facilities to serve the project on lands of JAM of New Paltz, located on the east side of Route 32. The project is located on the west side of Route 32 South, immediately south of the SUNY New Paltz campus and the Village of New Paltz line in the Town of New Paltz, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS and Public Hearing

Westchester County - The Village of Port Chester Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Draft Comprehensive Plan and Related Zoning Amendments. A public hearing on the Draft GEIS will be held on October 22, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at 350 North Main Street, Port Chester, NY 10566. Written comments on the Draft GEIS will be accepted until November 1, 2012. The Draft GEIS is available from the Village of Port Chester Village Hall, 222 Grace Church Street, Port Chester, NY; Port Chester-Rye Brook Library, 1 Haseco Avenue, Port Chester. NY and on line at: http://www.portchesterny.com/Pages/PortChesterNY_Webdocs/plan.

The action involves the proposed adoption of a Draft Comprehensive Plan and associated zoning amendments to Chapter 345 of the Code of the Village of Port Chester. The project is located throughout the Village of Port Chester, New York.
