Negative Declaration
Herkimer County - The Village of Newport, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water System Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a cartridge filtration building utilizing existing springs; transmission mains; instrumentation and control; water storage tank; site work; and restoration. Construction of this project is scheduled for spring 2013. The total project cost to complete the proposed Water System Improvements is estimated at $2,175,000.00. Funding for the project is secured through the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYS EFC) - Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. The project is located in the Village of Newport, New York.

Jefferson County - The Village of Alexandria Bay, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Utility Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the replacement of the existing gravity sewers, potable water distribution, and storm sewers in the Village of Alexandria Bay. The upgrades will address the utility issues along Catherine Avenue. The project also includes rebuilding the street including new sidewalks and curbs. The project is located along Catherine Avenue in the Village of Alexandria Bay, New York.
