Jefferson County - The Town Board of the Town of Lyme, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Lyme Wind Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a Local Law to provide regulatory structure that ensures the protection of the Town of Lyme residents and minimizes the impacts on the Town's environment in the siting and operation of Wind Energy Conversion Systems. Notably, this law will reduce, minimize or eliminate negative impacts on the unique resources within the Town of Lyme including, among many, the Seaway Trail, Lake Ontario and its contiguous waterways and the Chaumont Barrens. The project is located throughout the Town of Lyme, New York.
