Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Queens County (Queens) - The New York City School Construction Authority, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed New 472 Seat Primary School. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 10, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at PS 305, 378 Seneca Avenue, Queens, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until September 25 2012. The Draft EIS is available from the New York City School Construction Authority, Legal Department, 30-30 Thomson Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101 and on line at: http://www.nycsca.org/Community/EIS/Pages/default.aspx.
The action involves the construction of a new, approximately 472 seat primary school facility. The project site, an approximately 29,000 square foot lot currently contains a vacant two story building that was formerly a parochial school. The project is located on the southwest side of Seneca Avenue between DeKalb Avenue and Stockholm Street in Queens, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final GEIS
New York County (Manhattan) - The New York City Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Seward Park Mixed-Use Development Project. The Final GEIS is available on line at: www.nyc.gov/html/oec/html/ceqr/11dme012M.shtml.
The action involves the proposed implementation of a mixed-use development project, which would include approximately 1.65 million square feet of mixed-use development on nine city-owned sites with approximately 60% of the floor area allocated to residential use and approximately 40% allocated to non-residential use. The proposed development would also allow for up to 500 parking spaces. The proposed actions would include the disposition of City owned property; a special permit from the New York City Planning Commission for a Large-Scale General Development (LSGD); a special permit for use modifications within an LSGD; street mapping; authorization to modify signage regulations; special permits for public parking facilities; zoning map changes; zoning text amendments; acquisition; and designation of sites as an Urban Development Action Area Project(s).
The project is located on Essex Street and Delancey Street on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York.
