Project Description: The action involves the establishment of a new commercial sand and gravel extraction on a portion of a 112 ± acre landholding. The life of mine will involve 24.6 acres, with five phases, each approximately 5 acres in size. Access to the site will be across an existing haul road on an adjoining landholding from Pepper Hollow Road. No wetlands will be involved or filled. Annual production will not exceed 10,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel. A screening plant will also operate on the site. There will be an average of ten daily loaded truck trips, with a maximum of 25. Operations will occur from April through November, Monday through Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
