Public Notice

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that site ID #704009B, known as the Vestal Water Supply (Site 4-2) site, may be deleted from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. This site is located in the City of Vestal, within the County of Broome, and is located at 517 Prentice Road, Vestal, 13850. Comments regarding this action must be submitted no later than July 6, 2012. Notice is hereby given that the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision has determined that the property situated at 67 South Street, Auburn, Cayuga County, improved with a multi-story residential building consisting of 8,854 ± square feet, circa 1840, located on approximately 1.0 ± acre, is no longer useful or necessary for their purposes and has declared the same abandoned to the New York State Office of General Services for sale or other disposition as Unappropriated State land.

Negative Declaration

Tioga County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Drilling Permit Application for - Carrizo (Marcellus) WV LLC will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the drilling of a natural gas well in the Tioga County Agricultural District 002. Drilling operations will be conducted in accordance with the drilling permit issued and rules and regulations of NYS DEC. The total area proposed to be disturbed during the initial construction phase for the well site and access road is 413,820 square feet or approximately 9.5 acres. After the well has been drilled, it will be put into production or plugged and abandoned. The well pad and access road areas for a producing well will be reduced to 77,500 square feet or approximately 1.78 acres and the remaining disturbed areas reclaimed. If the well is plugged and abandoned, the site will be reclaimed. The project is located approximately 1,100 feet north of Mc Henry Road and 2,200 feet west of Gary Hunt Road in the Town of Owego, New York.
