Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The Town of Poughkeepsie Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Vassar College Science Building will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to re-configure and renovate the campus area that houses science studies including: Construction of an 81,500 square foot science building spanning a stream, removal of a 41,500 square foot building, and modifications to landscaping, parking, utilities and other site features. The proposed action includes a campus project area of 9.43 + acres plus offsite temporary parking and materials storage on 1.6 + acres in the City of Poughkeepsie. The project is located 124 Raymond Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Orange County - The Village of Maybrook Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Maybrook Glen (aka Maybrook Station) Subdivision. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on June 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Maybrook Village Hall, 111 Schipps Lane, Maybrook, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until June 29, 2012. The Draft EIS is available from the Village of Maybrook Village Hall and on line at: www.turnermillergroup.com.

The action involves the subdivision of two tax parcels located within the Village of Maybrook into a 50 lot single-family residential subdivision on land that totals approximately 61.3 acres. Parcel 111-1-21 is 3.90 acres and is located in the R-4 zone; parcel 113-1-1 is 57.4 acres and is located in the RA-3 zone. The project proposes lot sizes ranging from 0.33 acres to 2.1 acres, and all lots will be serviced by the municipal water and sewer services of the Village of Maybrook.

The Applicant proposes access to the site over Prospect Avenue, Highland Avenue and Logans Way. Three new roads will be constructed to connect with these Village streets and will be offered to the Village for dedication. Construction access and following site improvement a permanent emergency access will be established out to Maybrook Road over an adjacent lot in separate ownership.

The project is located at the southerly terminus of Prospect Avenue, Village of Maybrook, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft SEIS and Public Hearing

Rockland County - The Town of Clarkstown Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Orchard Ridge Active Adult Residential Housing. A public hearing on the Draft SEIS will be held on July 18, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at the Clarkstown Town Hall, 10 Maple Avenue, New City, NY 10956. Written comments on the Draft SEIS will be accepted for 14 days after the close of the public hearing. The Draft SEIS is available from the Town of Clarkstown Planning Office, New City Library, Valley Cottage Library and on line at: timmillerassociates.com/Public Review

The action involves the construction of a 320 unit multifamily, age restricted, residential project. The project is located on the west side of NYS Route 303, east of the CSX Railroad right-of-way, on the south end of Old Orchard Lane, approximately 1 mile south of the intersection of US Route 9W and NYS Route 303 in the Town of Clarkstown, New York.
