Public Notice

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application from Alex I East, LLC for a site known as the PolyChrome Manufacturing Site, site ID #C360098. This site is located at 80-94 Alexander Street in the City of Yonkers, Westchester County. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later June 15, 2012. Negative Declaration

Ulster County - The Village of Ellenville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Ellenville Water System Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves improvements to the Village's water system, including improvements to its Jean Street Water Tank, Eastview Tank, Eastview Heights Tank, Fallsview Well Site, Harris Well Site, North Gully Water Treatment Plant, Westwood Avenue Booster Station, and Center Street Well Site. A new water booster station is proposed near the intersection of Chapel Street and Mountain Road. A 12 inch transmission main is proposed along Zane Street, Church Street, Lake Drive, Siegel Road and backlot to the Harris Well treatment building. Approximately 200 feet of 6 inch watermain will be replaced in kind on Kossar Place. Approximately 2,050 feet 4 inch watermain will be upsized to 6 inch on Cape Road and Tuthill Avenue and approximately 2,325 feet of upsized watermain from 6 inch to 8 inch will be replaced on Diane Drive and Westwood Avenue. Approximately 50 new water valves will be installed throughout the existing water distribution system. The project is located throughout the Village of Ellenville, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final GEIS

Dutchess County - The Town of Pawling Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of Town of Pawling Comprehensive Plan Update and Zoning Amendments. The Final GEIS is available from the Town of Pawling Town Hall, 160 Charles Colman Boulevard, Pawling, NY 12564 and on line at: http://www.pawling.org.

The action involves the adoption of the Town of Pawling Comprehensive Plan Update (CPU) and proposed zoning amendments to the use and bulk tables for the HA, HB and I zoning districts. Please refer to the Draft CPU and Appendix C containing the proposed zoning amendments. No land development is proposed in this action. Changes to the uses and bulk requirements in the HA (Hamlet - 1/2 acre); HB (Highway Business - 1 acre); and I (Industry - 1 acre) zoning districts. No changes to density are proposed. All Zoning District boundaries will remain as they are currently configured. The CPU objectives include review of land development regulations and open space inventory with strategies to identify gaps; need for links in; and more effective protection of natural, agricultural and open space resources and community character. The Town's zoning and land use regulations will also be evaluated to balance the complement of residential and non-residential uses permitted; and flexibility and usefulness for encouraging desired uses, needed housing and better design. The CPU objectives include a historic inventory; community mapping; and examination of local laws regarding effective recognition and protection of these resources. The CPU objectives include evaluation of Critical Environmental Areas (CEA) and Environmentally Significant Areas (ESA) regulation and monitoring; and making linkages with other protected resources. The project is located throughout the Town of Pawling, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final GEIS

Ulster County - The Town of Saugerties Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Kings Highway Corridor. Then Final GEIS is available from the Town of Saugerties Town Hall, 4 High Street, Saugerties, NY 12477 and on line at: www.saugerties.ny.us.

The action involves the evaluation of potential impacts and the necessary mitigation measures for future development and redevelopment of the 464 acre Kings Highway Sewer and Water District. The project is located on Kings Highway in the Town of Saugerties, New York.
