Public Notice

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that site ID #826006, known as the ATOFINA Chemicals (Formerly Lucidol) site, may be deleted from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. This site is located in the Town of York, within the County of Livingston, and is located at the intersection of Genessee Street and Flatts Road. Comments regarding this action must be submitted no later than June 11, 2012. Negative Declaration

Steuben County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Steuben Crushed Stone Quarry Renewal and Modification will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposed 27.8 acre expansion of the Steuben Crushed Stone Quarry. The applicant proposes to renew and modify the existing 64 acre quarry an additional 27.8 acres. The modification continues historical operation of the facility and no significant changes are proposed for the upcoming permit term. There have been no changes to the scope of quarry operations, nor changes to the existing environmental conditions on site. No excavation will occur below the water table and no consumptive use of water is proposed. The final reclamation plan (meadow and open space/wildlife habitat) remains unchanged. The mine is located on Town Highway No. 3 in the Town of Bath, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Monroe County - The Town of Penfield Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Bay Towne Plaza Expansion. The Final EIS is available on the Town of Penfield Planning Department's web page at: www.penfield.org.

The action involves an application by DiMarco Brandt Point LLC for the Town Board to Amend the Town Zoning Map to rezone a portion of Tax Parcel Nos. 093.02-1-24.997 (currently zoned R-1-12) and all of 093.02-1-25.1 (currently zoned Multiple Residential), located north and east of the existing DiMarco Baytowne Associates, LLC parcel, commonly known as Bay Towne Plaza to General Business to expand the existing Bay Towne commercial development. The project is located at 1994B, 1994C Empire Boulevard in the Town of Penfield, New York.
