Applicant proposes to install large stone retaining wall along 120 foot shoreline of Cayuga Lake as well as a steel pier dock extending lakeward 42 feet. Existing, dilapidated, stone pier shall be removed. Site is located at 99 Cayuga Street, Town of Union Springs.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
The permittee has requested a permit modification of the existing solid waste permit to handle 3 additional non-hazardous waste streams, specifically: bentonite slurries, wastewaters and drill cuttings from horizontal directional drilling operations from natural gas pipeline installation (not horizontal hydro fracking wastes). No expansion of the facility is proposed, all materials will be brought into the existing building for processing and/or transfer to other disposal facilities. The application, project plans and report are available for review in the Cortland Office.

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
