Project Description:

The applicant proposes to modify and expand existing parking areas in the vicinity of the Health Sciences Center and Long Island High Technology Incubator buildings located on the Stony Brook University (SBU) Hospital Campus. A total of 189 additional parking stalls are proposed along with measures to reduce stormwater runoff including bio-retention swales. Overflow from the swale will enter an existing drainage conduit that runs into the North Recharge Basin which presently receives stormwater runoff and is a regulated freshwater wetland. The project is located at the SBU Hospital Campus, east of Nicolls Rd., south of Health Services Dr., Stony Brook, Brookhaven Town, Suffolk County.
