The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application and a Remedial Action Work Plan from Sphere STP, LLC for a site known as Skinner Automotive, site ID #C622031. This site is located in the Town of Herkimer, within the County of Herkimer, and is located at 700 Mohawk Street, Herkimer, NY 13350. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later than May 28, 2012. Negative Declaration

St. Lawrence County - The Town of Louisville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed East Louisville Water District #3 and Norfolk West Hatfield Water District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of 104,000 feet of 8 inch and 10 inch water main, hydrants, valves and water service laterals. All main line work will be in the road rights-of-way. The project consists of the installation of 8 inch and 10 inch ductile iron pipe, hydrants, and appurtenances, ¾" minimum copper service laterals, curb and corporation stops, new in house water meters. The project also includes the construction of a new standpipe type water storage tank. Water distribution main work will occur primarily within the previously disturbed road rights-of-way with the exception of a back lot run to complete a closed loop in the system necessary for fire flows. The proposed water storage tank will be constructed on lands to be purchased by the Town of Louisville. The project is located along portions of NYS Route 37 & 56, West Hatfield, Ridge Road, Willard Road, County Routes 39 & 36, in the Towns of Louisville and Norfolk, New York.
