Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Huntington Town Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed DeForest Williams Estate will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a fifteen (15) lot subdivision of a 42.02 acre parcel within an R-80 (minimum two acre) Residence District Zone for the subsequent development of twelve (12) new single-family homes, 1.19 acres of roadway, 12.84 acres of parkland to be dedicated to the Town of Huntington, 6.25 acres of buffer/preservation area and 0.99 acres in recharge basin area. The project is located on the east side of Shore Road, approximately 250 feet south of Spring Hill Road on the westerly side of Mowbray Lane North in Cold Spring Harbor, Town of Huntington, New York.

Suffolk County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Share-Resource Public Safety and Wireless Communications Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a shared resource telecommunications facility including the installation of a 100 foot monopole within an 80 foot x 80 foot fenced communications compound. Two equipment pads with communication cabinets will be located within the fenced compound. Space is also reserved within the compound for four future carriers, including New York State.
Associated power and telecommunications appurtenances will be located within or just outside the proposed compound. This compound will be screened with landscaping. Access will be attained from parking field #5. The facility is necessary to provide the appropriate infrastructure to meet current and future needs of the State and the wireless telecommunications providers that serve the State, other public agencies and emergency service providers and the general public. The project is located in Sunken Meadow State Park, Town of Smithtown, New York.
