The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that site ID #915071, the Lehigh Valley Railroad, may be deleted from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. This site is located at 110 Furhmann Boulevard, Buffalo NY. Erie County - The Erie County Environment and Planning, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Depew / Vanderbilt Pump Stations and Overflow Retention Facility Modifications will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves modifications at the Depew Pump Station, the Vanderbilt Pump Station and the Overflow Retention Facility. At the Depew Pump Station the existing ball valve will be replaced and new flow metering chamber to the Buffalo Sewer Authority. At the Vanderbilt Pump Station, the existing pumps, valve chamber, electrical service and standby generator will be replaced. Improvements at the Overflow Retention Facility will include new outfall pipe, raise existing walls, new potable water service and wash turrent and sluice gate improvements.
The project is located in the Town of Cheektowaga and Village of Depew, New York.
