Project Description:

The applicant proposes rehabilitation of approximately 4.5 miles of County Route 52 (CR52) from the Village of Chateaugay at US Route 11 to the Canadian Border Crossing-US Port of Entry. The project involves replacement of cross highway and driveway culverts, milling and repaving of CR52, and paving existing dirt/gravel shoulders. A portion of the project is within the 100 foot adjacent area of State regulated Freshwater Wetland CG-12.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

Proposed development of "Lakeview Village at Paradise Point," a 20 unit townhouse project. The following permits are requested: Docks and Moorings - for construction of a 288 foot long removable floating dock system (T-shaped) with 24 boat slips on Great Sacandaga Lake; Water Quality Certification - for disturbance to 0.018 acre of federal wetlands. An application for SPDES General Permit is also under review, for sanitary waste discharge of 7,240 gallons per day to groundwater. The project is located at the intersection of Lakeview Road and Paradise Point Road, Town of Mayfield.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.

SEQR Lead Agency: Mayfield Town Planning Board

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
