Notice of Acceptance of Final SEIS
Franklin County - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA), has accepted a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Map Amendment 2010-02. The Final SEIS is available from the APA Headquarters, Ray Brook, New York and on line at: http://apa.ny.gov/_assets/mapamendments/MA201002_FSEIS.pdf.
The action involves a request by a private landowner, North Country Partners, LP, to amend the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map by reclassifying approximately 9.6 acres from Resource Management to Moderate Intensity Use. APA, on its own initiative, expanded the area to 53.2 acres in order to be consistent with regional scale criteria that is required when amending the map. The APA Board deliberated on the Final SEIS at its March 15, 2012 meeting. The project is located on the north shore of Lake Clear in the Town of Harrietstown, New York.
