The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Orange County - The Town of Newburgh Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Chadwick Lake Park 2012 Capital Projects will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the approval, funding and undertaking of certain capital improvements during the fiscal year 2012 at Chadwick Lake Park including the installation of a new 12 foot by 12 foot gazebo, new playground equipment on the west side of the Lake, a new tether ball/block ball playset, relocation of the existing bocci ball courts, a water garden and certain lighting, electrical and public address upgrades. The project is located in the Chadwick Lake Reservoir Critical Environmental Area on Route 300 in the Town of Newburgh, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Dutchess County - The City of Poughkeepsie, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed O'Neil Group-Dutton, LLC Zoning Law Amendments. The Final EIS is available for review at the office of the City Chamberlain of the City of Poughkeepsie, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, New York, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays, and is also available at the following locations:

The action involves the applications of the O'Neil Group-Dutton, LLC, to the City of Poughkeepsie and the Town of Poughkeepsie for amendments of the zoning laws to permit 384 units of residential housing and 25,000 ± square feet of commercial space to be constructed on a parcel of land comprising 14.32 acres commonly known as One Dutchess Avenue, on the former Dutton Lumber Company site. The project is located on Dutchess Avenue in the City and Town of Poughkeepsie, New York.
