Public Notice

Pursuant to Title 3, Article 49 of the Environmental Conservation Law, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) hereby gives public notice of the following:

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 49-0305(9) of the Environmental Conservation Law, of NYS DEC's intent to acquire a Conservation Easement from Ann M. Leonard, over certain lands located in the Town of Dryden, Tompkins County, New York.

Negative Declaration

Chenango County - The Chenango County Industrial Development Agency, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Chenango County Transmission Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the relocation and reconstruction of NYSEG's existing 46-12.5kV "South Edmeston Substation", the relocated substation will be named the "Columbus Substation"; the construction of a new, approximately 10.7-mile, overhead 46 kV line from NYSEG's existing County Line Substation to the new Columbus Substation. The project is located in the Towns of Sherburne and Columbus, New York.

Tioga County - The Owego Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendment of Article XVI of the Town of Owego Zoning Code will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the amendment of the Town of Owego Zoning Code Article XVI by repealing Local Law Number 3 of 1996 "Flood Management District" and enacting "Flood Damage Prevention in Flood Management District". The project is located throughout the Town of Owego, New York.
