Pursuant to the Environmental Conservation Law (ECL) section 13-0307 and 13-0319, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) - Division of Fish, Wildlife and Marine Resources has amended 6 NYCRR Part 41 (link leaves DEC website) to close certain shellfish lands to harvest. These areas do not meet the bacteriological water quality standards for a certified shellfish land. Shellfish harvested from areas that do not meet the bacteriological standards for a certified shellfish land have an increased potential to cause illness in shellfish consumers. This notice will be published in issue 11 of the State Register, dated March 14, 2012.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing
Westchester County - The Village of Tarrytown Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Greystone on Hudson. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on March 26, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building, One Depot Plaza, Tarrytown, New York. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until April 26, 2012. The Draft EIS and other supporting documents are available for review at the Village of Tarrytown Planning and Zoning Office, Town of Greenburgh Division of Planning Office, The Greenburgh Town Library, the Tarrytown Library, and on the Tarrytown website at: www.tarrytowngov.com.
The action involves an application by Broadway on Hudson Estates, LLC for the approval of an 9 lot residential subdivision (8 homes) in the Village of Tarrytown and a 13 lot (12 homes) residential subdivision in the Town of Greenburgh, and related development approvals. The development will be served by a public water system (Village of Tarrytown) and a public sanitary sewer system (Village of Tarrytown lines connecting with the Westchester County Sanitary Sewer System). The collection lines will be installed by the developer within the internal roadways to be constructed to serve the individual homes. A 21.7 acre parcel within the Greenburgh subdivision will be donated to the Town of Greenburgh for permanent open space and will be added to the adjacent Taxter Ridge Park. An additional open space Historic Gateway will be donated to the Village of Tarrytown which will connect the Old Croton Aqueduct when leaving Lyndhurst. The Applicant Broadway on Hudson Estates, Inc. is the owner of 79.8 acres in 3 parcels of land which are in both the Village of Tarrytown and the Town of Greenburgh. For purposes of attaining a more environmentally sensitive internal road system, the Applicant has entered into an agreement to purchase 4.9 acres of additional land, in the Village of Tarrytown, from an adjacent property owner which are to be added to the projects.
The project is located at 612 South Broadway and fronts on the easterly side of South Broadway (Route 9) in Tarrytown, New York and is immediately adjacent to the Tarryhill community which lies along the southerly boundary, and it extends easterly into the Town of Greenburgh, New York with its easterly boundary adjacent to the Town of Greenburgh Taxter Ridge Park.
