Project Description:

The applicant proposes the modification of an existing maintenance dredging permit to allow for the continued annual maintenance dredging of approximately 1,000 cubic yards of sediment for an additional 5 years. Additionally the permitted area to be dredged on the river side of the marina will be expanded from a 40 foot width to a 70 foot width to remove a shallow ridge which has formed between the basin/river edge and the Federal Navigation Channel. If approved by the US Army Corps of Engineers, the dredge material will be placed in the US Army Corps of Engineers open lake disposal site.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The Department has made a tenative approval to issue a new Water Supply Permit for Water District 7 to the Town of Bath to take for use therein a maximum of 83 gallons per minute from the Bath Electric, Gas and Water System (BEGWS)'s well sources to serve the Green Acres Mobile Home Park which was previously served by a private well system. This will include 704 feet of 8 inch and 25 feet of 4 inch water main along East Washington Stree Extension to connect at Golf View. The file is available for review and comment at NYSDEC Region 8.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
