The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that site ID #754010, known as the Monarch Chemicals, Inc. site, may be deleted from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. This site is located in the Town of Tioga, within the County of Tioga and is located at 1620 Glen Mary Drive. Comments regarding this action must be submitted no later than March 2, 2012. Tioga County - The Village of Newark Valley, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Local law 02-2012 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the repeal of Chapter 83 (Flood Damage Protection) of the Code of the Village of Newark Valley and replacing it with a new code required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) referencing updated flood maps. The project is located throughout the Village of Newark Valley, New York.
