Albany County - The City of Albany Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 423 aka 425 Madison Avenue will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the demolition of existing structures and erection of a new three story mixed-use building with a basement. The project is urban in fill intending to maximize the commercial and residential capacities of the site while also enhancing revenue potential. The proposed uses comply with the C-1 district's Principal Permitted Uses. The commercial space has 2,415 gross square feet. The dwelling units will be located on the second and third floors with three units on each floor totaling 6 units. The apartments range from 627 to 750 square feet for a total of 2,241 gross square feet per floor. Total Gross Floor area of the building is 6,897 square feet. The project is located at 423 aka 425 Madison Avenue in the City of Albany, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Schoharie County - The Joint Planning Board for Sharon Springs and Sharon, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Rockville Ridge. The Final EIS is available for review at the Village of Sharon Springs Clerk's Office, 129 Main Street, Sharon Springs, NY 13459 and on line at: http://www.schohariecounty-ny.gov/CountyWebSite/villsha/index.jsp.
The action involves an application for a special use permit and commercial site plan approval to utilize 21.5 acres in the Village of Sharon Springs for open space recreation made available to the public by a private business for a commercial purpose. Open space recreation shall include hiking, picnic area (carry-in/carry-out only), walking, outdoor games, baseball, soccer games, kite-flying, croquet, bocce, Frisbee toss, horseshoes, badminton, and similar activities for approximately 4 to 25 persons. Proposal, as amended on June 30th, 2011, more specifically presents recreational vehicle use, including ATVs, dirt-bikes, and go-carts with a proposed rider capacity of one hundred and fifty (150) riders. Proposed hours of operation would be 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. (as presented on June 30th, 2011) or daylight hours (as presented in application), Monday thru Thursday, and 7:00 a.m. until 11 :00 p.m. (as presented on June 30th, 2011) or daylight hours (as presented in application), Friday thru Sunday, seasonal operation. No construction or improvements are proposed. No lighting is proposed. No excavation of the site is proposed; trails already exist. Portable Temporary sanitary facilities are proposed for patrons' use. The project is located at 594 State Route 20 in the Village of Sharon Springs, New York.
