City of Glen Cove Transfer Station Operation and Maintenance, Solid Waste Transport, Recycling and Disposal Services
Draft Request for Proposals
This notice is issued pursuant to Subdivision 4 of Section 120-w of the General Municipal Law and is a notice of a Draft Request for Proposals for the financing, provision of transportation means and services and the facilities, having to do with the operation and maintenance of the City of Glen Cove solid waste transfer station and for the transportation, recycling and disposal of City of Glen Cove municipal solid waste. The means, services and facilities are expected to include: certain capital improvements to the City of Glen Cove solid waste transfer station; the operation and maintenance of the City of Glen Cove solid waste transfer station; transfer haul vehicles; the processing, transportation, recycling and disposal of solid waste; administrative management; maintenance support; and customer service support to perform services as specified in the Request for Proposals.
Copies of the Draft Request for Proposals may be obtained at the City of Glen Cove Finance Department, Purchasing Division, Attention: Nancy Andreiev, City of Glen Cove City Hall, First Floor, 9 Glen Street, Glen Cove, New York 11542 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, on and after Wednesday, February 1, 2012 for a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), until Thursday, April 5, 2012.
One (1) original and two (2) copies of comments on the Draft Request for Proposals must be received at the office of: Nancy Andreiev, City of Glen Cove City Hall, at the above address no later than 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 5, 2012.

Suffolk County - The Town of Huntington Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Warburgh-Warburgh Lot Line Change will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a request for a lot line change of a 3.99 acre parcel zoned R-20 Residential. The owners are requesting a lot line change in order to transfer 2.54 acres of land from tax lot 017.000 (the Homestead) to tax lot 016.000 (Lot 1 on the Map of Cannon Hill). The owners have entered into a contract of sale with Huntington Hospital whereby the Hospital will purchase said properties, subject to the Planning Board's approval of a lot line change, and subject to a reserved life estate to Paul E. Warburgh Jr. on the historic parcel. The project is located at 324 Park Avenue on the east side of Park Avenue through to the southeast corner of View Acre Drive in the Town of Huntington, New York.

Suffolk County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Island Water Park Mined Land Restoration will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the complete land reclamation of mined site involving the creation of a water ski lake fed by groundwater with the installation of a cable tow system; construct 52,000 square feet of building space with a sanitary system. The project is located at the Island Water Park Property (EPCAL site) on Route 25 in Calverton, Town of Riverhead, New York.
