Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a permit to the Town of Stafford to authorize the crossing of NYS Freshwater Wetlands ST-9 and ST-12 via open trench (and temorary coffer dam) and directional drill methods, and a tributary of Black Brook will be directionally drilled, in order to construct approximately 19,300 feet of 8-inch water main along Clipnock, Transit and Sweetland Roads. The file is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 Office in Avon.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.
SEQR Lead Agency: Stafford Town Board
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:
The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a permit modification, renewal, and transfer to the SPDES permit formerly held by the Sportsmans Inn to the new applicant for a design capacity of 920 gallons per day of treated sanitary effluent with overflow discharge to Waneta Lake from a septic tank, sand filter, and chlorine contact system. The inn has been removed and a single family residence has been constructed. The permit is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 office.
