Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Koster Land Development at North Sea will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a 3 lot Reduced Density Planned Residential Development (Cluster) Plan, which proposes Proposed Lot 1, a flag lot, to contain 174,242 square feet; Proposed Lot 2, a flag lot, to contain 71,275 square feet; Proposed Lot 3, a flag lot, to contain 129,416 square feet, and a 6.313 acre Agricultural Reserve which preserves 50% of the prime agricultural soils on site, all fronting on Lumber Lane, on a property situated in the CR-80 Zoning District, the Agricultural Overlay District and the Aquifer Protection Overlay District. The project is located at 134 Mary's Lane in the Hamlet of North Sea, Town of Southampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final GEIS

Nassau County - The Nassau Health Care Corporation, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Village for Healthy Living at Nassau University Medical Center / Redevelopment of the Nassau University Medical Center Site. The Final GEIS is available from the Nassau University Medical Center, Office of Robert Benrubi, Counsel to the President and CEO, Nassau Health Care Corporation, 2201 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554; East Meadow Public Library, 1886 Front Street, East Meadow, NY 11554-1700 and on line at: www.numc.edu.

The action involves the adoption of a Campus Land Use Plan and the redevelopment of approximately 35 acres of the 50 acre Nassau University Medical Center Campus consistent with the Campus Land Use Plan. The proposed redevelopment will include the reconstruction and expansion of medical resident housing, the development of health related research and medical office space, and health related commercial uses to complement the existing 19 story Dynamic Care Building. The 50 acre property will be re-subdivided as necessary to meet funding and/or leasing requirements. The land use plan for the campus includes open space, new and redesigned parking, improved signage, pedestrian connections throughout the campus, and appropriate improvements to existing infrastructure necessary to accommodate proposed development. The project is located on the Nassau University Medical Center Campus at 2201 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, Town of Hempstead, New York.
