Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct 40 linear feet of new bulkheading landward of apparent high water on a vacant lot. A new boat slip is also proposed to be created by dredging up to 23' seaward of the new bulkhead to maximum depth -4' MLW and installing three mooring piles. The dredged material is proposed to be placed landward of the new bulkhead as backfill. A 4' x 40' capping boardwalk is also proposed. The proposed project is located along the Tombart River, a NYSDEC regulated Tidal Wetland, at 235 West Drive in Copiague, Town of Babylon in Suffolk County, SCTM# 100-191-01-59.

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:
