ENB - Region 9 Notices 11/30/2011

Negative Declaration

Cattaraugus County - The Town of Mansfield Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Revision of the Town of Mansfield Junk Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the revision of the Town of Mansfield Ordinance 1-1979, "An ordinance Licensing and Regulating Junk Yards and Dealers in Secondhand Junk and Auto Parts Activities and Businesses." This ordinance is proposed to be replaced with a new local law: "A Local Law Licensing and Regulating Junk Yards". The new local law has a more well-defined application and review procedure. It consolidates all standards in one section and includes more stringent standards on fire protection, setbacks, and storage of materials, among other features. The project is located throughout the Town of Mansfield, New York.

Cattaraugus County - The Town of Great Valley Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendment to Town of Great Valley Zoning Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the amendment of the Town of Great Valley Zoning Law text. The purpose of the amendment is to clarify certain provisions of the existing law and to ensure that the provisions are internally consistent. Revisions were made to Article 3, Districts and Regulations; Article 4, Supplementary Regulations; and Article 10, Planned Unit Development. One objective of these changes is to distinguish between the HD zoning district and the PUD zoning district, and to make it possible for the Town to accept and review an application for townhouses, or for a cluster subdivision, which would be independent of a PUD application; various changes were made to accomplish this. Another change allows a PUD in any zoning district, so this becomes a floating zoning district. Other technical changes were made to clarify certain sections of the zoning law text that are ambiguous. The project is located throughout the Town of Great Valley, New York.
