Project Description:

The facility currently processes under a facility registration, up to 10,000 cubic yards of yard waste yearly. It also handles uncontaminated concrete, brick, asphalt, rock, soil, unadulterated wood, land clearing debris and horse manure. The applicant wishes to convert the facility registration to a permit so that they may accept up to 50,000 cubic yards of yard waste annually, representing a 40,000 cubic yard annual increase. The applicant will accept and process (grinding and/or debagging) the yard waste indoors (presently outdoors). The existing building will be upgraded to accommodate the increase. The facility's total annual throughput will remain the same. The facility is located at 140 Old Northport Road, Kings Park in Suffolk County.
