Project Description:
Grease Masters Recycling Corp. has an existing Solid Waste Management permit to process non-petroleum oil/grease waste collected from restaurants and food processing facilities, and proposes to increase the capacity of material received/processed at their recycling facility by 50%. The facility is currently authorized to accept 24,000 gallons per day (gpd) of oil/grease waste and will now accept up to 36,000 gpd. There will be no change in the type of material processed. The facility separates the input material into waste water and oil/grease, which is then recycled. The facility is located at 100 Voice Road, Carle Place, Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County.

The applicant proposes to dewater the project area to install a waste water pump station at Irving Ave in Wyandanch. The dewatering system will be operated intermittently for a total three to four week period over the two year project duration.
