Cayuga County - The Town of Brutus Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Resolution to Amend Brutus Zoning Special Development District Zoning Regulations will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the consideration of amendments to the Town of Brutus Zoning Law to establish a new Article IV Sections 125 - 13.2 that establishes a new Commercial Zone for some land that had previously been included in the Special Development District on NYS Route 31 east of the Village of Weedsport and south of NYS Route 5 and redesignate the zoning for the remaining lands formerly in these Special Development Districts as Agricultural - Residential; change those lands in the Special Development District on Route 31, west of the Village of Weedsport, and east of West Brutus Street to the Industrial Zone similar to the Village zoning district that now abuts those parcels; provide a statement of intent, a list of permitted uses, a list of permitted accessory uses, dimensional standards; and general regulations addressing signage, storage of equipment, on site storage facilities, on site utilities, location of loading areas, location of accessory structures, parking, building height, and required open space. The amendments also amend the Town Zoning Map so as to establish these new zones and Article III so as to change the list of zoning districts. The project is located on NYS Route 31 east and west of the Village of Weedsport and NYS Route 5 within the Town of Brutus, New York.
