Project Description:

The applicant proposes to reconstruct an existing culvert by removing 33 linear feet of 24" pipe and replacing it with 29 linear feet of 24" pipe. New precast headwalls will be installed at each end of the pipe and installation of the new headwalls will require removal of 425 square feet of existing wetland vegetation and the placement of 11 cubic yards of clean fill and 70 cubic feet of 4-6" rip rap at the embankments adjacent to the headwalls for stabilization. 49.5 cubic feet of 4-6"rip rap shall also be placed at the base of each headwall for scour protection. All disturbed vegetated areas will be revegetated with native wetland species upon completion of the culvert reconstruction. The project is located at Shore Road 100 feet e/o Scotts Cove Road, Setauket, Brookhaven Town, Suffolk County, Scott's Cove.

The facility currently processes under a facility registration, up to 10,000 cubic yards of yard waste yearly.
