Project Description:

The applicant proposes to reorient and reconstruct an existing softball field located partially within the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland AM-31 (Class I) at the Millbrook School Campus. The proposed field reconstruction includes installation of a subsurface irrigation system, trenching for placement of utility line, regrading, and construction of new outfield fencing. No disturbance to the wetland is proposed; the total area of disturbance to the adjacent area of the wetland is approximately 0.38‑acre. In addition, the project will allow 0.6-acre of currently maintained wetland adjacent area to revegetate naturally. The project is located on the west side of Millbrook School Road, south of West Road.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

The applicant proposes to construct multiple driveways across a portion of Freshwater Wetland MB-29 (Class II) and its 100 foot adjacent area in order to construct a nine-lot residential subdivision on a 116 + acre parcel. Activities proposed within regulated areas of the wetland include filling, grading and construction of drainage improvements and a total of five separate 12 feet wide paved driveways. The total area of disturbance to the wetland is 0.07 acre; the total area of disturbance to the adjacent area is 0.48 acre. The project is located on the east side of Station Road, north of Natchu Court.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to modify portions of the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland BR-18 (Class II) and the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland BR-19 (Class II) in order to construct a 2.5 mile long [second] phase of the Maybrook II Bikeway, a walking and biking trail. Activities proposed within wetland adjacent areas include clearing, debris removal, grading, construction of drainage improvements, and paving with asphalt a ten foot wide linear portion of the abandoned Maybrook Trail Rail Line for recreational purposes. No disturbance within either NYS Freshwater Wetland is proposed. The total area of disturbance to wetland adjacent area(s) is 4.85‑acres. This phase of the rail conversion project extends from Danbury Road (I-684 exit) in the south to its northern terminus near Pumphouse Road.
