Project Description:

Applicant is proposing to regrade and stabilize approximately 2,200 linear feet of stream bank on the east side of the Bronx River (NYS Water Index No. ER-3, Class Ct). The purpose of this proposed work is to stabilize the existing slope to prevent erosion and slope failure.

Project Description:

The Bedford Highway Garage, located in the NYC watershed, is a Town facility for vehicle maintenance and washing. The facility is equipped with floor drains inside the garage and a collection pit in the yard to handle runoff from the vehicle wash area. All wastewater is channeled through a 750 gallon oil/water separator prior to discharge to a storm sewer which flows to St. Mary's Lake Brook to the Muscoot Reservoir.

The Town has requested modification of the SPDES permit to accommodate an increase in flow from 500 to 2500 gpd. This increase in flow will be handled via installation of an Abtech Smart Sponge Filter after the oil/water separator.
