Project Description:
The Department has received an application and made a tentative determination to approve a modification to the above-referenced wastewater discharge permit for the Colden Lakes Resort located at 9504 Heath Road, Colden, NY. The modification involves the addition of a new outfall for the discharge of up to 2,500 gallons per day of sanitary wastewater after treatment by a septic tank/sand filter/absorption field system to groundwater. This proposed system is intended to serve a 25 site expansion at the facility. The Department is seeking public comment prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. A draft permit is available for review.

Project Description:
This application is for the construction and operation of a proposed holding tank facility to temporarily store portable toilet waste. The facility will consist of a 1000 gallon precast concrete tank with a locking cover located at 8509 Chapman Road. The proposed tank is necessary to allow the waste to be transferred from a small vacuum truck into a larger truck that is capable of discharging at a municipal wastewater treatment plant.
