Project Description:
The applicant proposes reconstruction of Old Military Road from Carolyn Road to John Brown Road, involving a bridge replacement and realignment at the Chubb River crossing, with wetland mitigation areas, and two small road culvert replacements within tributaries of the Chubb River. The new bridge at Chubb River crossing consists of installation of two new concrete abutments, placed immediately east of the existing bridge, with installation of stone rip rap scour protection. The project is also under review by Adirondack Park Agency (APA#2010-161) and US Army Corps of Engineers NAN-2009-00881.

The Department intends to re-issue the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit that expired due to an oversight in the permit renewal process. The permit is for an existing discharge of treated sanitary wastewater from a subsurface treatment system, with a design flow capacity of 7,500 gallons per day, serving an existing summer camp located at 1468 Co.
