Negative Declaration

Cayuga County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Reeves Brothers Mine #2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the combination and expansion of two existing, permitted sand and gravel mines on the east side of Creek Road in the Town of Genoa. The affected area will be increased by 10.4 acres, making the Life-of-Mine area 17.71 acres. The area to be excavated will increase by 9.3 acres, making the final excavated area 16.6 acres over the life of the mine. Permitted crushing and screening operations will be conducted, consisting of 2 portable screens and 1 portable crusher, to be operated intermittently. Top soil will be replaced and the mine site will be reclaimed as woodland. The project is located on the east side of Creek Road in the Town of Genoa, New York.

Madison County - The Board of Trustees of the Village of Cazenovia, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Law #2011-3, to Amend and Re-Enact Chapter 180 (Zoning Code) and Zoning Map of the Code of the Village of Cazenovia, will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves adopting Local Law #2011-3 to incorporate the prior amendments of Chapter 180 enacted by local laws 2009-1, 2009-5 and 2010-5; to make additional text amendments, primarily with respect to the administration of the Village Zoning Code; and to also re-format and reorganize the sections of the Zoning Code to make it a more effective working document for Village officials and the public. The project is located throughout the Village of Cazenovia, New York.
