Shandaken SPDES Semi-Annual Meeting
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) is pleased to announce that the next semi-annual public meeting, held per the Shandaken SPDES permit, will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at Windham Mountain Ski Center, 33 Clarence D. Lane Road Windham, NY 12496. NYC DEP and its partners will discuss the progress of several projects in the Schoharie Reservoir watershed.
The meeting is open to the public and public input is welcome.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application from State-Albany Properties, LLC for a site known as the Mid-Town Laundry, site ID #C447045. This site is located in the City of Schenectady, within the County of Schenectady, and is located at 1122-1124 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12304. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later than September 9, 2011. Award of Contract to Capital Region Landfills, Inc. for Solid Waste Facility Management Services for the Town of Colonie, New York
Pursuant to New York State General Municipal Law, Section 120-w, the Town of Colonie, New York (Albany County), hereby gives notice of the following:
On July 28, 2011, the Town of Colonie, New York awarded a contract to Capital Region Landfills, Inc. pursuant to section one hundred twenty-w (120-w) of the General Municipal Law for the management, operation, maintenance, repair and improvement of the Town's landfill. The validity of the contract or the procedures which led to its award may be hereafter contested only by action, suit or proceeding commenced within sixty days after the date of this notice and only upon the ground or grounds that: (1) such award or procedure was not authorized pursuant to the General Municipal Law Provision, or (2) any of the provisions of the General Municipal Law Provision which should be complied with at the date of this publication have not been substantially complied with, or (3) a conflict of interest can be shown in the manner in which the contract was awarded; or by action, suit or proceeding commenced on the grounds that the contract was awarded in violation of the provisions of the Constitution.

Albany County - The City of Albany Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 60 State Street will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the conversion of a building's upper three (3) floors from commercial office space to twelve (12) residential dwelling units. The project is located at 60 State Street in the City of Albany, New York.
