Project Description:

Applicant proposes to construct a 145 foot self-suporting lattice telecommunications structure within a 75 x 75 foot grave-covered fenced equipment compound. Project Description:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) is pursuing a Department Initiated Modification (DIM) to the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit (NY 015 7376, DEC Identification #: 7-3532-00008/00001, for the Caughdenoy Sewer District pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 750-1.18, New York State's Environmental Benefit Permit Strategy (EBPS). The most significant proposed changes to the permit are as follows: Due to the facility operating a UV disinfection system, no chlorine is used and therefore the chlorine residual limit has been removed. Coliform sampling will be seasonal, due to the disinfection requirement. This was updated to conform to the coliform sampling requirements for class B water bodies. To meet updated monitoring requirements for treatment plants of this size and design flows, an increased monitoring frequency was added.
