The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Ontario and Seneca Counties - The Town of Phelps, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Phelps Route 318, Route 96 and Route 14 Water District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of plans for water system improvements within the Routes 318, Route 96 and Route 14 Water District in order to provide a safe and reliable potable water supply and fire protection for residents and businesses in the area. The improvements include the installation of approximately 41,850 linear feet of watermain. A portion of the water line along NYS Route 318 will be a transmission main through the Town of Junius which will connect the water district to Village of Waterloo water system (source of water supply). No properties in the Town of Junius will be supplied with public water at this time nor will be included in the proposed water district. Activities also include installation of fire hydrants, valves, road crossings, excavation and bedding materials, watermain connections, residential hook-ups, and surface restoration. The project is located along portions of NYS Route 318, NYS Route 96, NYS Route 14 and Town Line Road in the Town of Phelps, New York in Ontario County and the Town of Junius, New York in Seneca County.
