Positive Declaration

Albany County - The Town of Bethlehem Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Wemple Corners Rezoning Petition may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a petition submitted by Milltowne Plaza, Inc. to rezone 95 acres of land from Mixed Economic Development District (MED) to Commercial Hamlet District (CH). The stated purpose of the zoning amendment is to allow subsequent construction of a mixed-use development consisting of conventional apartments (240 units), senior apartments (150 units), mixed-use apartments (80 units), twin homes (56 units), retail commercial uses (106,000 square feet) and professional offices (39,000 square feet). The project is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 9W and Wemple Road in the Town of Bethlehem, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Rensselaer County - The Town of Nassau Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of the Town of Nassau Comprehensive Plan. The Fianl EIS is available at the Nassau Town Hall, 29 Church Street, Nassau, New York and on line at: townofnassau.org.

The action involves the adoption of a proposed Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Nassau by the Town Board. The proposed Comprehensive Plan, draft dated February 15, 2011, describes the Town of Nassau including but not limited to the Town's environmental setting, natural and cultural resources, land use, population and governmental services. The proposed Comprehensive Plan also contains, policies, goals, objectives and recommendations for the short and long term protection, growth and enhancement of the Town of Nassau. The project is located throughout the Town of Nassau, New York.
