Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling, decks, and driveway and to install a sanitary system on a vacant lot. The applicant also proposes to construct a 158' x 4' walkway with stairs to the beach. The proposed project is located within a NYSDEC regulated coastal erosion hazard area, and the proposed walkway is located within the adjacent area of NYSDEC regulated tidal wetlands. The proposed project is located at 161 Marine Boulevard, Amagansett in Suffolk County, SCTM# 300-176 08 17.

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to mine approximately 4,000 tons of sand per year from the 20 acre site held by the applicant. A total of approximately 100,000 tons of sand will be removed over the anticipated 25 year life of the mine. The sand from this site will be used for treating town roads during winter storm events. The area will be graded to suitable slopes and reclaimed by plantings of vegetation. The project site is located on the east side of Manor Lane approximately 1,600' north of Main Rd (Rte 25) in Jamesport, Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County. SCTM# 600-47-2-14.1.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
