Negative Declaration

Erie County - The Town of Amherst Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amherst Highway Department Stormwater Management Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the full depth replacement of existing asphalt pavement with concrete pavement designed for material storage and washing of the Town's Highway Department vehicles and equipment. Stormwater/surface runoff will be collected and treated by a hydrodynamic unit before being discharged into the existing storm sewer system. This project will also include minor amounts of asphalt pavement reconstruction and the re-establishment of existing grass areas. The project is located at 1042 North Forest Road in the Town of Amherst, New York.

Erie County - The Town of Amherst Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Redevelopment of Mennonite Meeting House will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the redevelopment of the Town owned Mennonite Meeting House, constructed in 1834 and listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places. On April 11, 2011, the Town voted to rezone the property to the General Business (GB) zoning district. It is the Town's intention to sell the building to Iskalo Development Corp. who plans to redevelop the structure for use as a bank. The 1,925 ± square foot existing historic structure will be preserved and an addition attached to the rear of it. The project also includes modifications to the parking lot, the addition of pedestrian walkways and landscaping improvements. The project is located at 5178 Main Street, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Main and North Forest Roads in the Town of Amherst, New York.

The action involves the sale of the Mennonite Meeting House, constructed in 1834 and listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places. The Town of Amherst proposes to sell the property to Iskalo Development Corp., who proposes to convert the building to a use permitted in the General Business (GB) zoning district. The project is located at 5178 Main Street, on the northwest corner of the intersection of Main and North Forest Roads in the Town of Amherst, New York.
