Chautauqua County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Removal of Undesirable Beech Understory on Chautauqua RA #4, Panama State Forest, Stands 4 and 9, Site Preparation will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the herbicide application to American beech understory species. This will allow the natural regeneration of desirable tree species such as Red maple, Sugar maple and Black cherry. The herbicide will be applied by backpack sprayer. The treatment area is 17 acres. Chautauqua RA #4, Panama State Forest, Stands 4 and 9 is located off of Goshen Road in the Town of Harmony, New York.

Erie County - The Town of Sardinia, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 2011 Amendments to the Town Zoning Ordiance will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves several amendments to the Town of Sardinia's Zoning Ordinance. The project is located throughout the Town of Sardinia, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Niagara County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Upgrades and Improvements to the Outdoor Amphitheater at Earl W. Brydges Artpark State Park. The Final EIS is available at the Earl W. Brydges Artpark State Park Office; at the office of the contact person listed below; and at the Lewiston Public Library, 305 South 8th Street, Lewiston, NY. The Final EIS is also available on line at: http://www.nysparks.com/inside-our-agency/public-documents.aspx.
The action involves the upgrade and enhancement of the outdoor amphitheater and support facilities at the Earl W. Brydges Artpark State Park including a new stage, new seating and viewing areas, enhanced parking and access roads, new concession facilities and rest rooms, and ancillary support facilities. It also includes facilities for family-oriented arts and crafts and visual arts programming. The Final EIS describes potential environmental impacts and mitigation of those that may be adverse. Major areas that have been evaluated with respect to impacts include: noise, potentially contaminated soils, construction impacts and traffic impacts. The Final EIS also contains a chapter summarizing the comments on the Draft EIS and NYS OPRHP's responses to the comments.
The project is located at 450 South 4th Street in the Village of Lewiston, New York.
