Project Description:

Proposed improvements to an existing driveway that crosses a narrow area of Freshwater Wetland #M-73 (Class I). Work includes widening the driveway to 16 feet and replacing two existing culverts with a single arch culvert. The purpose is to create a common driveway to access two lots of the proposed Mourning Kill Drive Subdivision, located on west side of Mourningkill Drive, 1/3 mile south of Brookline Road, Town of Ballston.

Project Description:

The applicant is seeking to modify its existing Water Quality Certification (WQC) to include the addition of a new base flow turbine-generator unit. The new base flow turbine-generator unit will have an installed capacity of 2.55 MW and a hydraulic capacity of 325 cubic feet per second (cfs). This is an 8 percent increase over the existing authorized hydraulic capacity of 4000 cfs. The installation of the base flow turbine generator will not change the overall operational or downstream flow regime required by the WQC issued in 2002. The continuous minimum flow of 25 cfs for downstream fish movement will continue to be provided at the dam.
