ENB - Region 8 Notices 5/25/2011
Monroe County - The Village of Scottsville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Regional Pump Station and Transmission Main will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of plans by the Village of Scottsville for improvements to its sanitary sewer system. Currently, the Village operates a gravity sanitary sewer collection system and a wastewater treatment plant (located just south of Oatka Creek), which serves Village residents and a portion of the Town of Wheatland. The Village is proposing to abandon its aging wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and instead transmit sanitary flows via a Regional Pump Station and Forcemain to the Monroe County Pure Waters (MCPW) system. In addition, improvements will be made to the Northeast Trunk Sewer, a gravity sewer main which currently transmits flows from the Town of Wheatland and 6 residences in the Village of Scottsville to the WWTP. The project is located within portions of the Village of Scottsville, the Town of Wheatland, and the Town of Henrietta, New York. The Regional and Local Forcemains will affect a corridor of approximately 17,000 linear feet along the right-of-way of NYS Route 253 (12,000 linear feet) and along an easement east of the Greenway Trail and the Village of Scottsville boundary (5,000 linear feet). Spot repairs to the Northeast Trunk Sewer will take place along this sewer line located on the west side of the Greenway Trail. The Village's wastewater treatment plant is located at 389 Scottsville-Mumford Road, in the Village of Scottsville, New York.
